Nintendo DS Accessories
Introduction
An important part of any console, but especially a handheld console,
is the accessories sector. Perhaps the most popular accessory for
mobile devices is carry cases. The DS is no different, with a selection
of third party carry cases available on the market. Surprisingly,
it's card cases which are the biggest seller for the DS. Shown below,
they provide protective storage for fragile DS game cartridges,

Protective seals are also available for the DS screens. These can
also help filter out glare from the screen, and protects the screens
from scratches. Licensed cleaning cloths are also available, these
apparently claim to improve the touchscreen writing feel.
Spare stylus pens are another popular accessory for the DS. Like
with normal pens, it's fairly easy to lose your stylus pens, especially
if your not the organised type. Luckily replacement pens are inexpensive,
costing in the region of six pounds for a pack of three. You can
buy both licensed (pictured below) and unlicensed stylus pens, with
the licensed pens being so cheap, it's probably advisable to stick
with the ones Nintendo have double checked and approved. Although
it's doubtful, unlicensed pens may scratch or damage the touchscreen
of the DS.

We finally have the more technical accessories, such as a mains
adaptor. A mains adaptor can be used to charge your handheld consoles,
whilst also being able to play the console at the same time. Some
third party mains adaptors are also capable of charging more than
just the DS, but can also charge consoles such as Sony's PSP. Car
power adaptor are also available, which are usually plugged into
the cigarette lighter plug, and are powered by the cars battery.
